2

Recruiting frictionThey need someone but do not have time to source, filter, and interview a large applicant pool.

3

Cost pressureThey are trying to fill a remote role locally at a salary that may not make sense for the business.

4

Existing momentumThey already have customers, revenue, or a small team, and the vacancy is slowing them down.

Where to Look

Use a public hiring signal posted in the last 14 days:

• A founder or hiring manager asking for referrals or hiring help
• Posts saying “still hiring,” “urgent,” or “hard to find”
• A leader covering work because a key position is unfilled

A role also qualifies if it has been open or reposted for 30+ days, even without a recent post.

Check LinkedIn, company career pages, founder communities, and remote job boards. A standard job listing qualifies only when it has been open or reposted for 30+ days.

Search Starters

  • Search LinkedIn posts for “still hiring,” “need referrals,” “hiring recommendations,” or “hard to find” plus a role title.
  • Search the exact company and role title to see whether the listing has been open or reposted for 30+ days.
  • Compare the company careers page with LinkedIn and remote job boards. One source may show history another omits.
  • Use the company About page, Team page, and LinkedIn headcount to confirm its size and decision-maker.

Who to Find

  • For a 5–10 person company, start with the founder or CEO.
  • For an 11–25 person company, check the founder, COO, Head of Operations, or leader of the hiring department.
  • When a leader published the hiring signal, use that person unless the post clearly names another decision-maker.

How Duplicates Work

Submit each distinct opportunity as soon as you find it. Multiple submissions are welcome. If the same opportunity is submitted more than once, only the first qualifying submission is eligible for payment. Leads already in Talented's pipeline do not qualify.
